Saint Martin's Episcopal Church Campus
Houston, Texas

The first master plan prepared by Jackson & Ryan Architects for Saint Martin's Episcopal Church included a 1,500-seat parish church in a Gothic style; a new 600-seat parish hall and full banquet commercial-quality kitchen; a new central plant and connections to the existing buildings; parking and a playground; conversion of the original parish hall into a nursery and educational space; youth center renovations; and rerouting of an adjacent public street. The existing 400-seat church became a wedding and day chapel. The new buildings were incorporated within the existing site. All components of the plan were completed within the projected four-year time frame, and construction was phased to allow continuous church operations.

Following the church's purchase of residential property to the east of the campus, Jackson & Ryan Architects was again hired to create a master plan. The new plan called for a three-phase development including a youth hall, a Hope and Healing Center, and a Scout hall in Phase 1; a contemporary worship center in Phase 2; and a pastoral center, education center and music rehearsal hall in Phase 3.
