Sarah Weinkauf , AIA, Associate
Sarah was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a child she enjoyed problem-solving and visual puzzles. Sarah began college with an interest in art and math, but her desire to travel to Rome led her to architecture. During her Rome Studies Program, she found her passion in the design of buildings. Her year abroad expanded her views of architecture, history, and civilization. Sarah graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
Sarah enjoys the many opportunities to explore the various professional worlds of our clients and how their work is reflected in their architectural needs. She has worked with clints designing spaces for broadcasting, a biotech laboratory, theatres, a planetarium, museums, schools, courthouses, libraries, and multi-family projects. Sarah is experienced in all aspects of the architectural design process and has many years of experience in research, preservation and rehabilitation of historic buildings. She enjoys that the tasks change as the project progresses from the initial design phase learning about the client and their needs and taking their project through to the Construction Documentation, where the everchanging world of regulations and materials provides a place for creative solutions. Always new things to learn, new materials and approaches.
Sarah enjoys pursuing her other passions, which include ballet classes, reading, and baking the best lemon bars. On the weekends, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her sweet puppy.
