Richard M. Harper, AIA, LEED AP, Associate Principal
Richard Harper was born in San Antonio in 1953. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture (1978) and a Bachelor of Arts (1975) degrees from Rice University, where he was a recipient of the Jesse H. Jones Scholarship and William Ward Watkin Traveling Fellowship. Prior to joining Jackson & Ryan Architects in 2004, Richard was a Principal at Courtney Harper + Partners Architects (1995-2004) and a Senior Associate at Bailey Architects (1978-1995). His professional experience also includes internships with Mitchell/Giurgola Architects in Philadelphia; Ressler & Applebaum Architects in Houston; and McGaughy, Marshall & McMillan Architects in Athens, Greece. Richard is a Registered Architect in the State of Texas and a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Association of Preservation Technology International and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He is also active in the Association of Rice Alumni and has served as an officer of his church's Executive Council and Building Committees.
