Christopher Duffel, AIA, Associate
Christopher Duffel is a native Texan. He received a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and a Master of Architecture from Rice University. He was awarded a Russell Pittman Graduate Fellowship in Architecture, which recognized Christopher as “one with exceeding potential in the professional practice of architecture.” He also was awarded a Paul and Katie Stein Scholarship, receiving a travel grant for research at the Venice Biennale and travel to Rome, Italy. Today, Christopher has dual roles: He works on architectural projects and serves as the BIM Manager. His architectural project experience includes all phases of diverse project types; he currently is working on several religious projects. As the office BIM Manager, he directs the firmwide technology strategy, and leads its specific implementation across all project types. Christopher believes that architectural discovery is most successful when it is paired with an open mind and the right questions. Christopher is on the Board of Directors for Transcend Architecture, a nonprofit that promotes human unity and dignity through architecture, service, and education. He is also the co-host of “Beauty Ever New,” a podcast about the intersection of art, architecture, and Catholicism.
Christopher has been married to Melissa for 10 years, and they have three children. In his leisure time, he enjoys frisbee, an evening of boardgames with family and friends, or a good conversation by the fire.
