Jackson & Ryan Architects is an award-winning, full-service Houston architectural firm with a diverse portfolio that includes multifamily, office, museum, religious, educational, animal welfare, and civic work. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to support the firm’s leadership in business development, communications, brand management, and proposal preparation. This is a full-time, in person position at our office in the Rice Village, in Houston, Texas.

This is a key role within the firm, combining strategy and execution. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with leadership and project teams to help shape the firm’s public presence, support pursuit efforts, and maintain the tools and materials that advance business development. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, an excellent organizer, and someone who can manage multiple priorities while producing polished, thoughtful work.

About the Role
The Marketing Coordinator will help define and maintain the firm’s brand identity while supporting a wide range of marketing and business development efforts. This includes proposal preparation, website and social media content organization, awards and outreach coordination, project photography, CRM/database management, and the development of marketing collateral. The role offers the opportunity to work directly with firm leadership and contribute meaningfully to the visibility and growth of the practice


Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Business Development

  • Work closely with firm leadership to support and implement marketing and business development strategies
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and other client-facing materials
  • Support business development efforts by coordinating meetings, follow-up materials, and outreach activities
  • Identify opportunities for awards submissions, publications, speaking engagements, events, and industry recognition
  • Maintain and improve the firm’s CRM, client, consultant, and pursuit databases

Content and Communications

  • Collaborate with leadership and project managers to develop content for social media, website updates, news items, and other firm communications
  • Manage the firm’s social media channels and website content, including project updates, staff announcements, and other relevant news
  • Help ensure that all written and visual communications reflect the firm’s voice, values, and brand identity
  • Coordinate finished project photography and support the organization and use of project imagery
  • Develop articles, announcements, and other written content relevant to current and prospective clients

Marketing Operations

  • Maintain and organize marketing collateral, proposal materials, resumes, project sheets, and related assets on the firm’s servers
  • Coordinate project signage and other brand visibility materials for active construction sites
  • Support internal marketing systems and processes with a high level of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail
  • Manage multiple deadlines and priorities while working both independently and collaboratively

Professional Development

  • Participate in relevant professional organizations such as SMPS and AMA, as appropriate
  • Attend industry events and educational opportunities that strengthen marketing knowledge and support firm visibility
  • Stay current on marketing tools, software, and best practices relevant to the AEC industry
  • Maintain proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and other platforms used by the firm, including BQE Core

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, architecture, or a related field preferred
  • Professional experience in marketing, communications, or business development, ideally within architecture, engineering, construction, or another professional services environment
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with firm leadership and multiple project teams
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with proposal coordination, website content management, social media platforms, and CRM/database systems preferred
  • Ability to write clearly and consistently in a voice appropriate to the firm and its clients
