Giving back is paying forward.
We take it very personally. Jackson & Ryan Architects donates a considerable number of hours each year to help others, which in turn makes us, as individuals, very happy. We're proud to partner with worthwhile organizations in order to help them achieve their vision and mission.
This recent offshoot from Jackson & Ryan Architects enables our people to spend up to 10 percent of their time on a non-profit of their choice, providing architectural services the non-profit could not otherwise afford.
Our Latest Completed Project - Agape Development Community Center
Transcend Architecture is very excited to announce the completion of the Agape Development Community Center.
Agape Development was established in 2005 to serve Houston’s Greater Third Ward neighborhood. In addition to renovating the existing liquor store building, the scope of work included the construction of an outdoor pavilion that provides additional space for programs and events. The completion of the project was made possible by working with a team of pro-bono resources of nearly a dozen different consultants in mechanical, kitchen, plumbing, lighting, audio/visual, data, structural, electrical, and landscaping. Forney Construction served as the general contractor.
The Center is design to serve the community through programs such as the Agape Property Repair Team and the Agape Resource Hub. Programs include one-on-one support such as COVID resources and employment assistance. The Agape Development Community Center is a place where children can learn, the community can meet and where adult education and training resources are provided.
